The county is the search

Family cases are local. People search the county where the child lives, where the divorce was filed, or where the support order came from. Philadelphia Family Court is a different building and a different list from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Berks.

Divorce, custody, support, and protection orders are separate pages because people hire for the hearing they have this month, not for “family” in the abstract. If more than one is open, say so.

What the desk sorts

The county and the next date. A fee is something the lawyer who takes the referral discusses. This desk does not quote one.

Nothing on this page is a prediction of what a case is worth, and it is not legal advice. A message asks the desk to review the facts and refer them.

What to send

Family cases need a lawyer in the county where the case is filed. Send the county and the next date.

The useful first facts are the place, the date, the court if there is one, and what happened. Records can wait until a lawyer asks for them.

How a referral works

A message asks the desk to read the facts and refer them to a lawyer who handles this work. It does not hire that lawyer, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship.

The lawyer who receives the introduction decides whether to take the matter and talks with you about deadlines and fees.
